Facilities

Production Facility

The equipment used for the production of oil or gas located on a production installation, and includes separation, treating and processing facilities, equipment and facilities used in support of production operations, storage areas or tanks and dependent personnel accommodations.

Production Capacity

Production Capacity is the volume of products or services that can be produced by an enterprise using current resources. Three commonly used definitions of capacity are as follows : 1.Design capacity: It refers to the maximum output that can possibly be achieved.

Therapeutic Range

The range of dosage of a drug or of its concentration in a bodily system that provides safe effective therapy the narrow therapeutic window… the effect may go from therapeutic to toxic with an increase of just 10 micrograms per milliliter [in] blood concentration— Lisa Davis.

HVAC

The main parts of the HVAC system are a heating, a ventilation, and an air-conditioning unit. … Heating is most often done by a furnace or a boiler in residential buildings. It also includes a pipe system for the fluid delivering the heat, or a duct work for forced air systems.

Water Treatment

They typically consist of several steps in the treatment process. These include: (1) Collection ; (2) Screening and Straining ; (3) Chemical Addition ; (4) Coagulation and Flocculation ; (5) Sedimentation and Clarification ; (6) Filtration ; (7)Disinfection ; (8) Storage ; (9) and finally Distribution.

Environment Concern

Plant activities that impact the air, water, and soil quality as driven by local, state, and federal laws (e.g., EPA) and corporate conscience. Actions required to minimize, or prevent and monitor, adverse effects on the environment in order to comply with the laws.

Dry Suspension

Dry suspension is commercial dry mixtures that require addition of water at the time of dispensing. The major consequence of the bitter taste is to restrict greatly the further development of oral preparations and clinical applications of these drugs.

Vial Dryer

Temperature-sensitive products in a cold chain, like vaccines, serums and tests, must be kept under the proper conditions in order to maintain their potency.  The need to label requires that they be removed from the environment up to 48 hours, which degrades the drug.  Any loss of potency is permanent and irreversible.

Fume Hood

A laboratory fume hood is a type of ventilation system that primarily functions to provide personnel protection against toxic fumes, vapors and dust. Its secondary function includes protection against chemical spills, runaway reactions and fires by acting as a physical barrier.
